This Sunday @ Trinity

One Sabbath Day Jesus was invited to a fancy dinner party at the home
of a local religious leader.
"The next time you put on a dinner,” Jesus told his host, “don't just invite your friends and family and rich neighbors, the kind of people who will return the favor. Instead you should invite some people who never get invited out, the misfits from the wrong side of the tracks” (Luke 14:13 The Message).
Our Lord makes it very clear that everyone is invited to dine at his table. That’s why we United Methodists celebrate “open” Communion. Everyone—young or old, male or female, rich or poor—is invited to partake of the Lord’s Supper. You don’t have to be a member of our church or even a baptized Christian to participate. The only requirement is a sincere desire to follow Jesus Christ.
Don’t miss your opportunity to receive the bread and cup of Holy Communion this Sunday, September 5, at Trinity UMC. Why not invite some others to come, as well?
Services each Sunday at 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
