Our heartfelt prayers were answered when we found Trinity United Methodist Church.

In 2023, we moved to Cartersville. We enjoyed everything about our new town, however, we longed to find a home church. I had discovered Trinity UMC and Pastor Shannon on the internet. Their theology and worldview aligned with ours. This, and Pastor Shannon’s sermons, prompted our first visit.

During that first visit, we were greeted by several people in the narthex and the warm welcome continued into the sanctuary.  The traditional music led to a sweet time of worship, we enjoyed the children’s moment, the scriptures shared tied into the challenging message and the choir sang beautifully. We felt immediately “at home.”

We resolved to visit for several more weeks to allow us time to pray about where God was leading us. With each visit we were affirmed that Trinity UMC was the place for us to worship and serve. We committed to Trinity UMC and became members.

Because we believe in the importance of small groups, we participate in Sunday School and enjoy the fellowship at Wednesday Night Suppers.  I attend Women On Mission and Dandelions women’s bible study. At every event, we are warmly embraced into this uplifting community of believers. Everyone that we have met exudes inclusivity and genuine warmth.

Trinity UMC is a beacon to the Cartersville and Bartow County communities with their outreaches and generous investment into organizations outside the walls of our church. The most evident characteristic of Trinity UMC is their love for one another, which leads to praying for each other, breaking bread together and spiritually encouraging each other.

The people of Trinity United Methodist Church are Jesus in Skin as they are “loving one another to Christ.”
