Remember, Recognize, Reveal, Redirect

On Sunday, I talked about ways we can get a handle on our use of technology:

  • Remember who you are – your worth doesn’t come from what we see on the internet. It comes from God.
  • Recognize that our actions have consequences, and it doesn’t just affect you. Addiction to technology affects those who love you as well.
  • Reveal your intentions and problems to other people to hold you accountable in doing better
  • Redirect your time and attention to prayer and mindfulness.

If you think you have an addiction to your phone or certain websites, seek help. This link can help. You don’t have to go through this alone.

Join us Sunday as we continue our series “What the Tech” with a focus this week on “discerning the truth.” Invite your friends and neighbors! See you at 11AM

God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things
I cannot change,
The courage to change
the things I can,
And the wisdom to know
the difference.
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it.
Trusting that You will make all things right
if I surrender to Your will.
So that I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with You forever in the
In the next. Amen. .
