Feast of the Unleavened Bread

Thursday, March 05, 2026

The Israelites' first Passover meal was eaten in haste, but it was purposeful haste - they were preparing for God's rescue from slavery. Unlike our modern fast food culture driven by busyness, their quick eating was an act of obedience and faith. Even in their hurry, they ate together, remembered God's faithfulness, and gave thanks. As rescued people today, we can transform our hurried meals into holy moments by slowing down intentionally, eating with others when possible, practicing gratitude, and remembering how God has rescued us. Whether it's fast food or a quick lunch, every meal can become an opportunity to acknowledge God's provision and our calling to help rescue others.
