Grace, Faith, and Justice

This Sunday, we’re continuing our Confronting Controversy sermon series. It’s been such a powerful time of wrestling with tough topics through the lens of Scripture, hasn’t it? This week, we’re taking on a big one—the death penalty.

How do faith, justice, and grace intersect when it comes to something this heavy? What does the Bible have to teach us about judgment, mercy, and redemption? To guide us, we’ll be looking at 1 Timothy 1:12-16, where Paul reflects on his own past and the overwhelming grace of Christ.

Here’s the thing Paul reminds us of—the same Jesus who came to save him, a self-proclaimed “worst of sinners,” also calls us to wrestle with what justice and grace look like in our messy, complicated world. That’s what we’ll explore together this Sunday.

We know this is a weighty topic. But it’s one of those conversations that can stretch and transform our understanding of God’s heart for humanity.

We promise this is a message you don’t want to miss. Bring a friend, and come ready to reflect, wrestle, and grow.
