Jury Duty

I still remember serving on a jury for the first time. It was a divorce case, and our job was to divide the couple’s assets. Both sides took turns tearing into each other’s character. We even had to listen to recorded phone calls that made the husband and wife sound awful.

By the end of the week, I walked out of that courtroom feeling drained, like I’d just seen the worst side of humanity. Honestly, I can’t imagine what it would be like to serve on a felony trial.

Courtrooms in Jesus’s time, however, were nothing like courtrooms today.

This Sunday, we’ll explore the courtyard and courtroom scenes from Jesus’s final hours. Could he have gotten a fair trial? What were the charges? And, most importantly, did the punishment fit the accusations?

Join us this Sunday as we unpack these scenes together, discover why they matter, and reflect on what they mean for us today. You won’t want to miss it!

Until Everyone Hears,
