Trusting in God

Sometimes we need reminders that there is something in the universe we can trust. Because the list of things we can’t trust seems to be growing:

  • Politicians
  • Sales people
  • Insurance companies
  • The internet
  • Media
  • Weather reports
  • Our neighbor
  • Our experience
  • Our senses
  • Our past

When it comes down to it there are only two things we can trust: God and people/circumstances God speaks through. If we don’t know God, there’s no one we can trust. If we know God, we can know when He’s speaking and the list of people and things we can trust opens up. We can trust ALL of the above in the right context. And we can exercise grace for the times when people think they are speaking for God but in fact are simply speaking for themself.
